Hello hello! I’m back with another monthly recap :] I don’t have much to say this month, since it was kinda boring and I’ve been art blocked for a while now, but I’ll try to write something for this entry :P 

First of all, post recap… I only posted once this month, and it was an unfinished piece and a sketch page XD I haven’t been able to draw anything for more than a month now and it’s lowkey driving me crazyyy but. We persevere. As I said last month I’m planning to take art classes soon, so hopefully that’ll take me out of the block, finally, but for now it seems I can’t finish anything at all.

I also didn’t finish any new art reel or anything because making content is HARD AF!! I don’t know man, in theory making video content is so my thing because I used to make and edit videos when I was a kid, but this short video format is way harder to figure out. You don’t have to make videos, you have to figure out how to make people want to watch them for more than a second lmao… I don’t have good ideas for videos anyway so I haven’t been making them (maybe if I was making art I would have more ideas??? but whatever)

Anyway, as I was saying, I want to take art classes soon. I was supposed to start this month but anxiety won and I didn’t send any message to ask for info LOL so I guess it’s something I’ll do in February, hopefully. I don’t want to have high expectations of classes fixing my art block, but I want to think it’ll improve it…. I just hope I can stop this loop of starting things then not finishing them because of my perfectionism and lacking skills… Well, maybe not lacking skills because I KNOW I can do it, it’s on the same skill level as past pieces that I like, so what’s the issue??? Honestly IDK, it’s like my hand isn’t collaborating with my brain LOL,,, Sorry for ranting, things have been very frustrating and I self-doubt a lot, I find it hard to continue but I keep trying because I really don’t want to quit. Also I know it’ll pass, the art block always ends and a good art era starts when you least expect it, so I won’t give up (ง•̀_•́)ง

Since I haven’t been able to draw full pieces lately, I started making more zines! I’m writing a lot of stuff for future zines and even finished a written zine about art very recently n.n I’m having tons of fun with zines, they’re way more forgiving and easy to do than a full art piece for me… I like drawing silly doodles for my illustrated zines and I’m really enjoying writing lately, so it’s a perfect medium for me at this moment. I will start posting my zines soon, the link will be in the projects section of the website, but for now you’ll have to wait ù.ú

What else… As of now I’m working on making a full art gallery for this site. It sounds easy since everyone has one on their websites but it’s actually a pain in the ass LMFAO having to compress all the images and put them manually isn’t for the weak XD But I’m determined to make it work since I think it’d make the website more interesting and I’d be happier with it :P I kinda ditched one of my galleries on my personal website because they’re annoying to maintain so idk why I’m doing this to myself now buuuut IDK, I think it makes sense to compile everything here! I’m not planning to turn this website into an art archive, I’m just gonna upload the art I like from each year and the rest will stay private in my external hard drive, but yknow, it’s better than the current featured art gallery because that way anyone can see my art progress from my site without interacting with my socials. Still, my socials will have all the shitpost while this site only gets the polished pieces and sketches. Sorry not sorryyyy

Other than that, I’ve been working on some stuff for my personal website (hey did you know I have another site? Now you do! it’s separate from this one to separate my hobbies and personal stuff from my art lol), I’m lowkey neglecting it compared to how active I was last month, but I’m still making new stuff for future updates! I’m also working on cosplays and crochet projects… I’m trying to keep my mind busy to distract me from the fact that I can’t draw LOL so yeah, I’ve been indulging more in my hobbies :’)

I think I don’t have anything else to say…… This month’s been boring and tbh the only thing keeping me sane is the ACNH update XD I hope your January was better than mine, and I hope you enjoyed reading this recap even if it was a bit boring haha..

I’m certain things will get better soon! I’ll let you know next month though 😋 Bye for now! <3
